I do not know why everybody is calling the current Palestinian

”Intifada” an ”uprising” when in reality it is not! Uprising means a revolt or insurrection while Intifada literally translates into ”to rid oneself of” and has nothing to do with revolt.

The Palestianian ”Intifada” is not a rebellion or a protest or an uprising instituted against the Israeli state authority. Intifada in Arabic means an attempt by the Palestinians ”to rid themselves of” the Ilreali occupation.
